Q. – Pastor, my spouse wants to wait until he gets himself right before joining the church. What can I tell him?
A. – Tell him that the church was not designed as a museum for saints, but as a hospital for sick people! Waiting until one gets himself right with God before going to church is as absurd as a man waiting until he feels better before having a recurring pain inspected by a doctor! It is in the church setting that one can find the answers he needs to overcome the struggles of life – not by hoping that he will someday feel well enough to be ministered to.
