SECTION 1. THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men who were divinely inspired by God. We believe that it is the perfect treasure of heavenly instructions; that it has God for its Author, Salvation for its end, and Truth without any mixture or error for its matter. We believe that the Holy Scriptures teach that in order to be saved, we must believe on Jesus Christ, that we can be regenerated or born again. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:21)
SECTION 2. THE GODHEAD
We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that these three are one God. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:19)
SECTION 3. JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD
Christ is Christianity and Christianity is Christ. He fulfills all the promises of God in the Old Testament, from His incarnation to His Second Coming as “Lord of Lords and King of Kings.” (Revelation 17:14) He is the God-man Christ Jesus in glory, exalted above all creatures, having “all power in heaven and earth.” (Matthew 28:18)
We believe in the deity of Christ. (John 1:1)
We believe in the humanity of Jesus Christ. (Romans 1:3,4)
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. (Luke 1:26-35)
We believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 2:8)
We believe in the ascension and second coming of Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:9-11)
SECTION 4. HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God and is equal to the Father, and the Son. He is come to empower men for service to live the Christian life. (Romans 5:5,8-11; Galatians 5:16-25)
SECTION 5. THE PERSONALITY OF SATAN
We believe that Satan, the devil is adversary of both God and Man. However, his power is limited due to Christ’s death on the cross and resurrection which guaranteed God’s ultimate triumph. (I Peter 5:8 Revelation 20:10, Colossians 2:13-15)
SECTION 6. SALVATION
We believe that new birth is given to the believer who accepts and receives the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe that as such believers, We are redeemed through the accomplishments of the blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is therefore an unmerited gift of God and not a result of human works. (John 3:7-18; II Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:13; Romans 10:9-10)
SECTION 7. THE CHURCH
We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head. (Matthew 16:16-18; Acts 2:32-49; II Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23) We believe that only those who are thus members of the true and invisible Church shall be eligible for membership in the local Church. We believe that this church with Jesus Christ as the Head, the Holy Scriptures as the only infallible guide, and Holy Spirit as its Teacher, shall be responsible for governing its own affairs.
SECTION 8. THE ORDINANCES OF THE CHURCH
We believe that the Lord’s Supper and Water Baptism are ordinances to be observed by those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. Such ordinances however, should not be regarded as a means of salvation. (Matthew 3:15, 16; 28:19; I Corinthians 11:23-26)
SECTION 9. THE RESURRECTION
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting punishment. (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:11-15)
